At E3 we got the chance to talk to Grant Odgers, Founder & CTO of Swiftpoint about their brand-new product launched during the show. Swiftpoint Z or “The Z” for short, is the ultimate mouse for Gamers, Designers and Power Users.
Swiftpoint Z is designed for high-performance, and with its optical sensors and ergonomic design it will give you the edge, whether you’re a serious gamer or a professional user. It also comes with a built-in Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Force Sensor, Tactile Feedback and OLED Display, unleashing a much faster, more precise and highly intuitive mouse.
The Z is also customisable to suit the size of your hand and grip style, alternative caps are included with the mouse ready for your customization. But the customization doesn’t stop there, with the Z Driver Configurator, you can highly customize the mouse individual buttons. The mouse also comes equipped with deep click sensors for the main left, right and middle wheel this is fantastic for providing multiple functions around your typical FPS game. A good example is the zoom feature when performing a sniper shot that normally requires a keyboard action. With the Z, you can link this action to a deep click. You can use The Z Driver Configurator to set up this pressure-sensing capability to perform additional actions as you press harder.
Trigger buttons under the index and middle fingers can be operated in two ways, they can either be pressed down slightly straightening the finger or curl your finger back and pull back on the buttons like a trigger.
What’s so impressive about this mouse is range of features it comes with, how customisable it is, and the magnitude of things you can accomplish with it. By far the most impressive feature of this mouse is that you can switch the base plate out and transform the mouse into a flight stick as the mouse features a 6 Axis In-Air control of pitch, yaw and roll.
Stay tuned for our in-depth review of the Swiftpoint Z mouse.
