Rumor: Next Call Of Duty Will Take Place In Space

According to a new rumor by Shinobi, the next installment in the Call of Duty series will take place "very far" into the future and will be based on space combat.

Shinobi specifically states that the title will be "full on sci-fi", which may not come as too much of a surprise after Infinity Ward has experimented with space combat in previous campaigns. Shinobi has also proved  to be an accurate source in the past. He correctly predicted that Black Ops 3 was coming to last-gen consoles last year and he was also right about the fact that this would be done by another studio.

In addition to these rumors, Eurogamer have independently reported that their own sources have been able to confirm the very same thing. They can also report that this will not be a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Activision have still not made any official announcements about Call of Duty 2016, although they have previously stated that the new installment will be “new, innovative” and “ambitious”. We're expecting to see gameplay from the new title at E3 this June.
