THQ will be holding a special WWE 13 roster reveal event on Saturday, August 18th as part of WWE's SummerSlam Fan Axxess.
In years previous to the last two, the WWE game roster reveal was just a press release. Two years ago, the Miz and Eve Torres announced the rosters with Cory Ledesma on a podcast, and the number of views skyrocketed. Seeing the ratings, the WWE has gotten fancier with these reveals. Last year, they held multiple events, even having the roster play WWE 12 and streaming it live before Wrestlemania. AJ won the event, helping push her popularity.
This year's event will prove to be bigger than last years, as the WWE understands social media. Be prepared to be innundated with numerous social media blitzes to advertise the game. With THQ selling off its UFC franchise rights to EA, THQ needs WWE 13 to be a huge hit.
Other things recently revealed by WWEGaming.com include the start of CM Punk's intro including the static, Today, it was announced the Road to Wrestlemania has been replaced with a career mode set in the Attitude Era. Better sound is promised, as the old UFC sound team is employed to make the crowd chants more realistic. Mike Tyson has been included. Many other things are being told daily.
