Towards the end of 2014, John Farjay collected around $100.000 from nearly 4000 backers on Kickstarter to finance the development of the game Bear Simulator. The game was released in January this year and it has since harvested some massive criticism.
One of the biggest critics to this game is Felix "Pewdiepie" Kjellberg who made a video review of the game. The review ended with him giving the finger to the game developer after attempting to get a refund through Steam. This video had more than 2.5 million views.
This criticism has now led to John Farjay announcing that he is shutting down business and will stop releasing updates for Bear Simulator in the future. On the game's Kickstarter he has written the following:
Don't want to deal with the drama anymore,. Can't ignore it because that causes more drama and can't do anything about it because that causes more drama. Must be doing this PC game dev thing wrong because it is way too hard to stay happy and productive.
Since the above announcement was posted, Pewdiepie's video has been made private.
